Default 525 EFI Filter Maintenance

Looking at my intake air filter and breather filter on my engine, they need a little cleaning. I am assuming that these can be maintained by cleaning with soap and water and a coating of K&N filter oil?

My understanding is that they are K&N, so you should be fine cleaning and treating as per K&N specs. I would think that a Merc manual would also spell out the procedure as well.

Thank you sir. Kinda thought that, just wanted to make sure before I screwed up a $100.00 worth of filters!
