Question Not sure what to do.

Not sure what to do.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry to post this in two threads but thought the engine guru's might give some advice.

I am at a crossroads. I am in between prop. My engine made max HP and TQ between 5200 and 5300 RPM. My 26 non labbed Bravo can run asc high as 5600 RPM light. I ran a 28 Bravo non labbed yesterday very heavy 4 adults and a full tank of gas. I am seeing 4950. That said I typically run about a half tank and will pick up 150 to 200 RPM. Am I better off to be over HP range or were I am? And should I cup a 26 or cut down the 28? Any thoughts.

I would have the 28 labbed to your specs. My boat runs 200 rpm's higher with lab 26" props vs stock 26" Bravo 1's

Consider doing your prop testing with the same load and do the testing back to back on the same day. This will eliminate most of the variables....the rest is just a decision.
