Have you tried 88's with a late opening power valve...maybe 3.5? I am close with 88 X 84 with 3.5 PV's front and back. Still polishing

I assume its square jetted now with 98s. Are you running a pv (front, rear, or both)? Have you taken a vacuum reading at cruise?

I have 3.5 power valves in it and square jetting. The 3.5's are so they don't open until I'm close to full throttle.

If an overly rich cruise is your only issue, the simple solution would be to decrease the main jets to lean out cruise while increasing the pvcr's to maintain wot. If there are other tuning issues, post them as this may not be the way to go.

Thanks for the idea. Never thought of that.

I have read that as well. I have learned more from Tuners posts on various websites than I ever could in a book. Unless you spend a lot of time in no wake zones, I wouldn't get into tuning the transfer slot too much. Does it idle and get on plane ok? Any stumbles or hesitation? If everything else is good, I would stick to the fuel side of it especially without a wideband.

We had screw in air bleeds in the race car carb. You can buy kits, pull your existing air bleeds out and thread the bore and, you can now screw and unscrew which ever size you want.

I have the air bleeds that you can unscrew and change. The engines idle pretty well, no fouling but a little rough. Careful adjustment of the idle are bleed screws seems to be enough. All I was going to work on was the high speed circuit.
