How Heavy And Will My Truck Be Ok.

Im getting a 1986 four winns 261 liberator with twin 350's my question is how heavy are these boats? I have a 1999 f-350 crew cab dually diesel that i know will pull it with no problems my issue is its 2wd how will that do pulling up the ramp?

I would suggest you try the Truck and trailer forum. The boat is probably a max of 8500 lbs. Your truck will handle that no problem. Is your hitch rated for that much? If your launch ramps are clean (no seaweed, algae) 2wd is OK.

Good Luck

yeah i got a hitch that i used when i pulled 18000 lbs so that will be ok and the ramps where im gonna drop the boat are always clean and dry

7200-7500lbs, wet on trailer(gear for weekending can add substantial lbs.)
Make sure you have @ least 10% tongue weight, actually 12-15% will help w/traction.
2wd should be just fine; keep good rubber on there

I towed my lib with a 2wd Dually. I always kept a couple empty plastic 55 gallon drums in the bed in case i ever needed traction for slick ramps {just fill them with water}
Never did need them though..Even at Cumberland with the straight up ramps
