I am having a chine walk issue. I tried a Hydromotive 27 and a Bravo I 30, the bravo is better but sill not good.
I rigged a 2002 29 for a customer and he goes 104 with no signs of any side to side Chine walking, Besides the HP mine is a 2005 29, his a 2002. Per Kirk we did not put a standoff box on the 2002. I have a ITS Standoff. The drives are the same Imco's. My X is 3.0 the 2002 is 3.25 with no extension box. I borrowed his 30 bravo to test so the props are the same. (he has the 1.36 ratio drive)
At around 83 MPH mine gets bad. I also note the 2002 can take a lot of positive trim and is still stabile, just a slight amount and mine gets loose. 3.5 on my trim gauge is parallel with the bottom. When I run any more than that and over 83 and it gets chine walking bad. His 2002 can take so much more. If I add positive trim to 4.5 I can go 88.7 mph on GPS but its not a fun ride.. @ 3.5 I can run about 83 and that's about it. I have a call into Kirk but any help would be appreciated. Anyone running the ITS standoff box? I can only guess with the standoff box my X is too low, even though 1/4 higher than the 2002 with the standoff it is in more water therefore higher. I wonder where the water is hitting them? Anyone want to hang 10 off the transom and mark the lower where the water is hitting it so I know for sure, lol.
Seriously any help would be great.
