Same place usually, what block is it? BBC is too generic, you need to be specific. FWIW on the HP500 block they are all right next to each other on the port side of the block, in front of the oil filter adapter along the pan. I forget where they are on my 454...

If possible, put the oil temp sender in the oil filter housing. There really isn't a good place in the block to put the oil temp sender where it is in the flow of oil. You must have the temp sender in the flow of oil to get an accurate reading. You do not want it in a dead end cavity with stagnate oil. The pressure sender can really go anywhere. Put the oil alarm sender up high on the rear of the block just above the bell housing. Hope this helps, Eddie.
