I just replaced the Mercruiser flame arrestors with K&N 59-3362 flame arrestors. What do I do with the breather hoses?? Make a custom bracket to hold them on?

You can buy the K&N metal insert that fits in the flame arrestor to attach the hoses to. They are around $18 each (kinda pricey). Jegs or Summit Racing has it.

I have the large EDDIE MARINE arrestor on my whipple charged 496 - just went to napa & got two 1" grommets( #630-1063) & 2 90* plastic valve cover elbows( #715-1808) , bored two 1" holes in the bottom of my air cleaner base plate for the elbows & grommets. Then run 5/8" heater hose to the valve cover breathers.Makes a nice clean looking positive seal without any rivets or bolts.
