I am close to completed my 496's for my 78 spectra. The boat weighs near 6300 pds completely rigged. The original/prior 454/330 set up ran 23 pitch clevers at around 4700 to 4800 RPM's. The trannies are 1:1 and the drives are 1.5. The new rebuilds are expected to be close to 600 HP plus or minus. Will be certain after dyno time. I plan to turn the new rebuilds somewhere between 5600 to 5700 RPM's at WOT.
Any ideas of what prop size I would need??? I would like to purchase some real soon. There is a good used set of Bravo one 4 blades - 26 p for sale on the board and wondered if this might be a good starting point.
Thanks for your help.
