I am not real familiar with CMI Etops. Is there such a thing as dry tails? Or at the very least ones that dump the water out further back or closer to the transom?

Sure you can get custom made dry tails. Thats what I have. Mine go all the way through the transom.

They will absolutely make any tails you want. They do some spectacular work but you better get your wallet ready. That custom work does not come cheap. But, nothing that good does come cheap.
