Sounds like he smoked the engine. Ran a new engine for 20 mins at 3200 (steady?) No where does he tell us engine temp, oil pressure. Can you get it into neutral? I don't think it's a drive problem at all. Sounds like the engine siezed up. Sorry but that's my 2ct's.

Okay so it def was the outdrive. took the top cap off and the upper gears were fine.. I tried turning the upper shaft and it was completely seized up... I didnt bother ripping it down any further just cause i dont have the tools for it. I'm assumming that one of the shafts inside the outdrive snapped and seized everything up.. as soon as i took the outdrive off i just touched the key and the motor started cranking so that was a releif.. I ended up picking up a used Bravo for cheap and put it on yest.. fired right up and its good to go.. thanks for all the help guys

Could be the pinion bearings on the input shaft. That is what happened to me when I ran it with low drive lube. Motor ran for about 1 min and they welded together.. I didnt realize the drive lube had leaked out.

Glad to hear you are back on the water..
