i bought the Summit BBC heads 308CC When they came in the box the inside of the head had "Iron Eage " stamped in the head with Summit engrved on the outside! They seem to be a good head for 1400 complete!

345 would be to large. Call Bob, RM Builder for the CORRECT HEAD AND CAM SELECTION.

We have had great success with the Dart 308's We have used most of the configurations of the GM, World and Dart BBC cast iron heads over the last 20 yrs. The Darts are in a class by themselves. In our experience, the 310-325 CC intake runner is where you want to be for 500-540 CI marine. With porting, both the intake and exhaust ports can be improved if your HP goals and budget allows.

I all ready have........many times.

The ultimate head to make the most power is actually an oval port design with a runner volume of 309 - 315 cc. I have developed this cylinder head intake package back in the A and B class days as BenPerfected knows. These 9.5:1 engines made 798 HP with 1 X 4.

Also as Dean knows, we never made as much HP as he did! We didn't figure out the A/B class combination until the last year of the classes

Yes they are to big. I just asked Jim V this question. 308's would be better. Give him a call and he can tell what you need to put on your 502. He might have something laying around the shop or can also get you what you need. He's also pretty good at getting some power out of the Darts and 502's :)

616 889 0928 Its worth the call to at least get some ideas.
