When I first converted my boat (2000 baja 272)from a stock 502 to a blower motor 9 years ago I tried various props including merc 3 blades. I NEVER could get it to bite and hold at all with 3 blade props so personally I wouldn't waste your time with 3 blades,Smitty

Thanks. The more i ran the 3 blade that's what it seemed like. I had to have the trim tabs all the way down to get on plane. I guess i just thought that i should be going a little faster at WOT with both props. But it looks like the 4 blade prop is the one for me. Has anyone tried the Hydro 5 blades? |

Well i went out and ran the boat with 26p again. I had 3/4 tank of fuel two people in the boat and was running 38MPH at 3400 RPM
I did not get a WOT the water was real rough and there were allot of boats out. I did race a guy in sunsation and smoked him but was looking at my tach MPH but if had to guess i was running 80 to 82. |
