Ok i am running a 500 hp with a baby blower from blower shop 5 lbs.
The boat is a 25 outlaw.
I went out this weekend and ran a 26 4 blade. WOT 5000 rpm at 80 MPH. cruise was 3400 at 32 MPH. out of the hole is pretty good
So i put on a 27 mirage plus 3 blade. Ran WOT 5300 at 72 MPH cruise was 3400 at 38 MPH. out of the hole sucks
This just doesn't seem right not sure which way to go here

Unless my Tach is off then it was 5000 earlier in the day it was 5200 at 78 MPH. I talked to Brett at BBlades last week and he also said that the slip at WOT was real good like 8% but my cruise is like 41% slip. I would think that i should be able to turn the 3 blade better then the 4. or at least do better then 72 MPH.

That is really strange with the cruise speed. With 425HP in my 24 old Outlaw, I picked up about 4 mph at 3500rpms and lost about 3mph on the top end. Yours is doing the total opposite. I would start by verifying your tach and speeds at all rpms.

Stick w the 4 blade. 3blades do not do good on power boats. The 4bl26 sounds pretty close to where you need to be at wot rpm. Maybe a 4bl 24 w cup will put you at a 25p. That will probally get you 200-300 more rpm. With the blower you can probally get a little more hp a 5300-5600 rpm . But dont push it. The GRIFF usually give good advise follow his lead.

With the amount of power he has/should have, he should easily be able to spin a 26 Bravo 1 prop to
25 Outlaws like 3 blades Mirage plus props up to certain point. Once you are over a 25", you need to go to 4 blade to be able to get on plane at all.

I am running a Hammer with 610 HP. Had a 26 Bravo and switched to a labbed 27 Mirage plus. Picked up 3 MPH and lost a little cruise speed. The Hammer gets on plane just fine, but it is a smaller lighter boat. I am surprised you go so much slower with the Mirage plus. Baja's typically have a lower X dimension, but yours may have been ordered with a raised X dimension and you just don't have enough water to get the bite. The Bravo will typically handle better and the higher cruise speed will give you better mileage
