Bought some EFI scan equiptment From Dave N.
He has changed his number. I need to contact him
I still can't get my OTC 4000E scanner to work on the older Mefi Mercs. The thing works great on 2001 and newer.
maybe I have a bad cable ? Do I need a power cable ?
The scanner will not power up. Any help would be appreciated.

are you using a obd1 cord with the power supply line attached to it?

No ! I am using a 4 wire cord that came with it. Maybe wires aren't inserted right in connector.
I don't want to waste money buying expensive cables if it still wont work.
I will just buy the Diacom Software or Rinda techmate
I tried using several different Mercruiser cartridges with no luck there either.
