I am thinking of buying a TCM 1200 EFI 5.0L WHIPPLE any body have anything good or bad to say about them????

I heard they are not dry sumped. Not passing judgment but I found that ineresting.

Teague knows what he's doing , I would feel comfortable with his engines ...you might want to check out Boostpower Marine also, Alexi does some nice work also

I have a pair of teague 1100 quads that I have been very pleased with. Eddie Young has built my other engines. You can't go wrong with Eddie at Young Performance Marine or Teague in the 1100 to 1200hp range. I would give Eddie the edge in the power department. Eddies 1200 is a friggin beast. My teague motors will not run with Eddies...but they are not far behind and have been extremely dependable. Eddies motors are very dependable as well..he has his 1200/1400 combo on the money. If you run the 1400 setting....you better have crash boxes. Eddie also builds a more blinged out motor and its dry sump.....also more expensive....but it all comes down to personal preference. If I did a new set, I would use Eddie due to power output...attend the dyno session and he is close to me where teague is across the coast.

I have his 620 and this past winter i shipped it to him now a 630 it is flawless would recomend him to anyone

Does anyone have any complete dyno sheets on the big Teagues? I have yet to see the full numbers (hp, boost, afr, EGT etc) on them

I have spent some time with Thunderusone and his Teague 1,100's. They are a nice package.

I was very impressed with Young's 1,200's. They started and idled like a 500 EFI and ran.....well they spoke for themselves. I thought that the details behind Young's engines were impeccable compared Thunder's Teagues. The sheets on Young's 1,200's tell the story. Right on the money.

I want to have a set of Eddie's 1,200's when I become more important.

Thanks everyone. Teague does build a nice package, but so do I. I have worked on and rebuilt a few of Teague's engines and they had held up well. I think my engines are a little better detailed with quite a bit more money in them. I do not build nearly as many engines in a year as Teague does. However, every engine that leaves my shop is built by me and only me, not an hourly employee. I'm not saying that is good or bad, just a fact. I have a huge vested interest in everything that leaves the shop. He obviously did not get where he is by building junk. Neither did I.
Here are a few shots of my 1200/1400. They make 1200+ on 93 octane and 1400+ on 100 octane. I have actually made over 1300 on 93 octane.
