What do you think of this 383 crate engine
What do you guys think of this 383 crate engine to replace my small block. There is a link to a dressed and undressed version
DRESSED http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MLL-BP3830CTC1/ UNDRESSED http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MLL-BP3830CT1/ Our possibly this one? http://www.jegs.com/i/Blueprint-Engi...4CTC1/10002/-1 |
Looks nice, what kind of car are you plan on putting it into?
|
It won't last in a boat. Jc Performance had to fix one for me in a 71 Nova. It wiped out a cam right away.
|
it wouldn't be for a car its for a boat I did alittle more research and it looks like ill be building something

Blueprint engines makes a 383 specifically for marine use,-why did you post the non-marine engine? Its $5,800.00 complete.
BBILL, did your friend buy the marine engine? Just curious. www.blueprintengines.com |
There isn't really a difference between the 2 but the price

What Warranty??
Just ask what the warranty is on the engine in a boating or marine use and you will usually find out just how good the marine engine build is as the warranty will generally be:
"It's guaranteed for as long as it Lasts" This should answer the question most of the time, "Where should I buy my marine engine?" Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar |
Any idea how long one of those Blueprint engines would last during normal use?
