What do you guys think of this 383 crate engine to replace my small block. There is a link to a dressed and undressed version

It won't last in a boat. Jc Performance had to fix one for me in a 71 Nova. It wiped out a cam right away.

it wouldn't be for a car its for a boat I did alittle more research and it looks like ill be building something

Blueprint engines makes a 383 specifically for marine use,-why did you post the non-marine engine? Its $5,800.00 complete.
BBILL, did your friend buy the marine engine? Just curious.

There isn't really a difference between the 2 but the price

NO it was in a Nova. The quality just wasn't there

Wink What Warranty??

Just ask what the warranty is on the engine in a boating or marine use and you will usually find out just how good the marine engine build is as the warranty will generally be:
"It's guaranteed for as long as it Lasts" This should answer the question most of the time, "Where should I buy my marine engine?"
