pushrod length
 

changing my 502ho's to hp 500 carbs. i have all the stuff but am wondering if the standard pushrods will work? i found some info on BAM that the intake was 7.55 and exhaust 8.55. if this is right i cannot find pushrods in that length. anyone have any ideas thanks

Hp 500's are 8.550 and 7.550. :coolcowboy:

where can i get sets of these?? i've checked comp and their close but not exact

7.550 - Part Number 25818-8

You should get a push rod checker to be certain on these lenghts, but these part number correspond with what you are looking for!

Hey Chris, you were looking for 1" HVH Super Suckers too!!

As for the lifters, I'm not sure what would be the replacement for the Crane 16535-16. I'm sure someone knows.

This is for a Hyd Roller cam?
We use Manley and we get most of our stuff from Doug Herbert or www.dougherbert.com
I may have a used set that we took out of my Hp500 but I would have to check.

What heads are you running?

The best advice given. Put those part numbers and length's up on the top shelf. As axapowell said, go to Jegs or Summit and get yourself some pushrod checkers. Do it right the first time. EVERYTHING within the valvetrain including the heads and even the head gaskets come into play.
