is this to big for a 454 ho crate eng. 392 hp thanks mike

Its on the larger end, but completely useable on a 454. I used an HP500 800cfm carb on a hopped up 454mag.

it may idle too rich but you can do some tinkering with it. you get much more performance form the correct ized carberator than an oversied one, many peple liek to go bigger carbs and if they actuall dynod there engines with the differetn carbs maost people would be suproised to see it takes a smaller carb than they thought. I haver an 850 on a 600hp 517ci and it is just right.
