prop for 24 ft hp500 set up?
hey guys , i'm looking for your expertease on propping my boat. I've got a 24 ft. CONDOR (miami built small offshore v bottom).last year i ran a 23 mirage at 4500 rpm with no problem,BUT this was with a 350 / bravo1 set up. this year i've upgraded to a 502/502 hp. with a bravo 1 1:50 -1 gear ratio. i'm looking at bravo 1 26 & 28 p does this seem right for my set up? any help would be appreciated! Shooting from the hip here but 26 sounds about right assuming you are going to spin the new motor around 5000. Should be a good healthy bump in performance.

Condor...What do you expect to gain on performance with that new setup? What did you run with the 350?
I am going through the same thing...24 foot with a 7.4 (310hp) and dropping in a 510~520 prop hp 502. I was running 60 with a light load and a 23P mirage plus before...

high hopes!
my best run so far was 62 mph (gps) but that was with the 300hp vortec 350 roller motor and alpha 1 drive. last year i upgraded to bravo 1 drive ,23 mirage, but i could only turn 57 mph at 4500 rpms. This year i hope to run 75-80mph, but i'll take what i can get.I bought the HO502 marine motor with the crane cam roller set-up,lightning headers, and a nickerson holley that flows 900 cfm. dyno showed 520 hp at 5100 rpm,so my hopes are up.I just bought a 26 labbed bravo one 4 blade off this site ,so i'll see in a month what she can do.I love the boat because its the only one like it in this area,it looks just like a scaled down cigarette, bolster seats ,etc.i knew it was under powered when i bought it,but for $8000. i think i stole it! Everything i've done has been paid for thru wheelin and dealin or bartering my time,so its nice to see it progress this far, maybe someday i'll have deep pockets to hang with the big boys! anyway enough of my rambling,-can wait for warm weather!

Excellent Condor...sounds like we are both going to have fun this summer!!!
My setup is going to be very similar to yours...HP and everything. How do the lightning headers sound? I am getting them as well...
I don't have a high priced rig either but, like you, have a boat that no one else does...I like that!

How about some pictures, we like pictures!!!!! also the bravo out drive is 1" longer than the alpha and that will slow you down.
