i have a 2005 42 ft fountain with staggered 525 efi's. wanting to add whipple chargers to my boat. does anyone know if the exhaust cross over pipe will clear the the whipple charger. Or if there is anyissues with installing these chargers on my boat. any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanx

I think he is talking about the CMI tailpipes from the front engine that run partially over the the top of the rear engine like the ones in this ad. http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o30899-en.html

Wicked-- If your boat is like the one that Griff posted a link to, in my experience I would say NO.
Your option is to get a new tailpipe from CMI that is bent differently to go around the blower.

Dustin @ Whipple should be able to recall and tell you if this exhaust will fit around his 525 setup, my guess is it won't without some moderate header and tip work as the 525EFI Whipple 4.0L supercharger on top of its intercooler is a pretty tall and wide puppy! Heck if you can afford two of those kits at Whipples pricing and install you can easily afford some CMI header and tip mods?

Raylor, its not that i cant afford new pipes and tips. Just doin it myself and tryin to make sure i cross all Ts and dot all Is. dont want to get into this project and then have to wait weeks on pipes. Called whipple already, they where not too sure about the clearance issues. And yes griff< that is the same set up I have now. It looks like the whipples will hit that pipe. Thanx for all the help guys. Still searching for some solid info. keep it comin. Tim
