had one explode on me 2 winters ago.. took out a jl audio 250/1 with it.. ugh.. what a mess
Sounds like a good reason to buy more :lolhit: Don't expect much from the Bazookas. In fact, don't expect most of them to last a couple months. Several customers have brought those in for install and they didn't last more than a week. The amps in them are junk. |
I have 3 10 inch diamond audio subs under my seat no box and they BLOW my old jl audio subs away

Bill, my boat and most of my customers that upgrade have used the Stinger batteries. I'm a dealer for those as well. Dave Brown has one for his stereo with the on-board charger, my boat has 3 with 3 chargers, and there's a few other ones out there too.
I have an SP800 for starting the boat, running the lighting, and powering the ballast system. 2 SP1500's are for the stereo alone. With 4 WS amps, I can play this for a few days. The amps are pretty efficient though. Obviously the alternator isn't enough to charge these batteries and we don't run much, so the stereo plays mostly when the boat isn't moving. The chargers are hard-wired so all I have to do is throw a cord out when I get back to the shop or camper, and plug it in. All 3 are tied to together under a panel and have a single 50' 12 gauge cord. The chargers charge the batteries, then shut off. The batteries are dry-cell, so they can't be trickle charged. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...a/DSC_7209.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...a/DSC_7208.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...a/DSC_7210.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...a/DSC_7170.jpg VERY clean install, nice work! |

Thanks Jonyb for the help. I will get in touch after the long weekend. You have done well with answering all my questions and I look foward to using your products. I am really looking foward to it. I may even consider the three tens and utilizing the syn6. All the wet sound stuff looks really nice and I like the way their website cover all recommended applications for their components. I just need to keep my eyes peeled for a good Alpine head unit. Anybody have a good line on those be sure and let me know. Otherwise I would consider used if somebody is upgrading or just selling. Thanks again for your help.
Once again do you feel that 3) - XS-10FA subs and 3 pairs of the xs650 would be satisfactory for the cockpi?. I certainly am not looking to win any contest however just want decent base and good clean sound. I think for the cuddy I will just install another unit all together with a small amp and a couple of speakers. I actually have most of the stuff for that here already sitting on the shelf. I typically only use the cuddy to pass out in after a long day in the sun and drinking some buds. LOL... Also are the xs650's as equally as good as comperable 6x9's? I always thought round was always better than any oval or square speeker due to the balancing of it. Makes sense. Just let me know. John |
