Have you heard of anyone getting pulled over and asked to see a cc # on a flame arestor?

on the other side if you have a fire caused by it,your insurance might not pay.

Ive been told om my 3.3 Whipple the fins/filter is 25 hp,ya have to recal so it want lean out.

Yes......... I got a ticket for a K&N marine. I took it to court showed the CC approval and still lost... just shows you can not tell the cop and judge to Fuc-off and win.

Read your insurance polciy. My bet is you will not find an exclusion that says if you put a non coast guard approved flame arrester on we will deny your claim. In the absense of such an exclusion they have no choice but to cover it. Stupidity is covered.

This is what I used on my raceboat. A single wrap of this mesh surrounded with the K&N pre-cleaner foam. Flows FAR BETTER than a stock 525 unit. In addition, we run 10" hose from the scoop to the fronts of the intakes.

STAINLESS STEEL SCREEN MESH WOVEN .016 x 12" x 36" 196-HOLES PER SQ INCH

K&N 25-3924

NOT COAST GUARD APPROVED DONT TRY THIS AT HOME AND ALL THE OTHER DISCLOSURES!
