My thought/Question is why can't you use the low water drive pick up and a hull mount into a Y then the pump on the 502Mag?
Best of both worlds, if you do get some muck, it will be deluted by the additional hull mounted pick up. Sounds odd, but I don't see why not!
It is the tenative plan at the moment. LOL
