Boat is still at the the builders.
They are waiting on Mercury to come up with a new elbow to help the cooling .
What Merc has will not work on the setup .Just a basic set up 4" exhaust above water line .
It is all on the mercury to come up with a or solution .
The Mercury Rep. been down there a few times from what I was told.

Update, my boat ran 76 mph with a 26 bravo and 80 mph with a labbed 28 bravo. This was with the stage 2 PCM upgrade from whipple. Stock it ran about 68-70. So that's a pretty damn good gain.

The jump from Mag with Cats to HO without is a big powergain.
Also your boat has a very fast, only 21 degree hull ,on straight water.
Maybe you let us know the RPM with your diffrent props??
I run last year 70mls at 4530 Rpm with 25 Mirage Plus.
I hope my 232 runs 75-76 with stage 2 and Cmi.I will see next day and let you know.My hull needs some more power i think.
Best Regards
Michael

BUP>They change the S pipe to a full alum cast style .The one I had on there was some real nice fabricated stainless 90's deg bend style .I have see these many of time .
not uncommon at all.
The idea is the water will flow better being a full 4" curve .
I will be out on the water in two weeks .
The boat the had the fire was also changed and his boat was actually water tested with good results .
Cobra took care of his boat and looks very nice .The guys down there are good people.
Hope this is the fix . Time will tell .

Ok thx I thought someone had a straight thru the transom exhaust and some one else had a silent choice app. Straight thru exhaust would not apply here - correct me if I am wrong and of course this could come into play if there was angles needed in the first install design that caused this problem.
