unfortunately they didnt have any JL's set up, only memphis in subs, which sound pretty good. I have been asking around on sealed vs free air in a boat and most opinions from experts say in the open air like a boat you wont notice much difference. I too wish I could hear both. Spent most of my time listening to coax and component speakers.

I have a set of the JL free air sub's in my boat and they are awsome..I also have a buddie with the Memphis subs in a box and I stll think the JL's have better sound!!!!

Just purchased 3 pair of Polk db series components and 2 12 inch Polk subs in sealed boxes and 1Alpine PDX 1.600 amp and 1 alpine PDX 4.150 with Alpine IDA-x100m head unit with RF remote. Not installed yet. Bought all E-bay for $1550.00, I will let you know how it sounds!

where did you mount your free air subs? i was thinking of putting some under my back seat or in the side panels.

My Memphis class D amp has been great for a few years now.
