Default Mufflers?

Putting a set of transom mount mufflers on a dry exhaust set up. Do I need water thru them and if so how much (little or full head)? Would think they need some to operate and stay cool (do have two small weep holes at the bottom inside of the pipe exits to drain the pipes)? Thanks for any input... Pete

I run full dry CMI's with a set of GGB extreme mufflers. No water at all runs through the mufflers. Been running them that way for several years. I did take the rubber flappers out of the mufflers.

These are a CMI Muffler. They sit right under the swim deck and was sort of worried about how hot they would get. Don't want to cook any fiberglass (or wifes legs). Never ran any b-4, but the sound police are getting strict at the poker runs these day's in this part of the country. Thanks for the reply...
