I just rebuilt my HP500. I replaced the Merc racing oil filter (35-1659Q) with a NAPA 1060gold. I wanted to run the engine prior to taking it to the dyno. Started it up and had a high pitch squeal from the oil pressure relief valve on the remote oil filter mount. The noise took about 15 secs to start and was directly proportional to rpm. What is causing this? Could it be because the filter has an anti-drain valve? Looking at the old filter, I do not think it has this valve and the new one clearly does. I am 100% sure my plumbing is as it was before the rebuild. Thanks.
