Question 496HO oil filter: equivalent truck models?

I'm looking for a good oil filter for the 496HO, but I'd rather pay automotive than marine prices.
Most online sites allows the oil filter selection based on the car/truck brands and models, and afaik there are some trucks using the same engine, but I'm not sure about which ones exactly.
Any hint will be appreciated!

I use K&N, Model #HP3002 on my 496HOs, but here's a list of other manufactures and there model numbers:
FRAM- PH5, DG5
Puralator-L34631
Pulalator pure one-PL34631 or PL36461
AC-PF1218
Amsoil-SDF-24
Mobil 1-M1-302

Found K&N oil filter at Advanced Auto Parts.
Hope this helps

Ditto on everything he said plus the FRAM HP2 (the fram big "racing" filter)

To be honest, the K&N (available at all Auto Zone & Advance stores) is a great filter. Its anti drain back and low impedence technology but still very high filtration incresase my oik pressure 10PSI across the board.

The merc HP filter is a very good filter for the 496. My friend runs them on both his 496 boats and swears by them.

Well, actually I have nothing against Merc original parts, it's just that afaik they're much more expensive than the automotive equivalents, when available... That aside, I also read some horror stories about the original Merc gear oil for bravo outdrives, for instance.

The Merc racing filter is about $16. Well worth it for a $14,000 engine.
