Default roller trailer question

can a rolelr trailer be converted to a bunk trailer????

My rioller trailer marks up my hull somthin awful!!! It looks like if i removed the roller jammies that the brackets they are attached to would fit bunks. I coudl just get thos plastic 2x4 (or a whichever size fits i still havn;t measured it) I would have to loosen the front ones and move them further out from the keel of the boat but i think it would work. Any reason why I can't do this?

the rollers are kind of apain in ethe ass. yes the boat goes on and off easily but bunks do suport the wieght better.

Cool

I converted a roller trailer to bunks for my first boat. a bunk trailer is easier to load than a roller anyday since if it is set up properly it will self center the boat. GOOD LUCK

Puder, I just bought a used 2000 aluminum trailer and the manufactuer of that trailer faxed me a print of the dimentions of the bottom of the boat I will be putting on it so I can set the bunks up on the trailer to fit the boats bottom, that will help save some time figuring out where to put the bunks,...Fred

You can convert...but the draw back is getting the bunks in the correct places, along with that would be the insurance and liability factor (if something should happen). Suggestion, first would be to look into a trailer swap out. And then go from there.
