500 efi's die together

We were out running today for the first time this season and both engines die at the exact same time. We have drive and tab power and cabin dc power, but no power anywhere else. I did have to replace the starter fuse on the satrboard engine this winter. If it blew is there anyway it could make the one on the port engine blow also? There is no power on the dash, or any of the switches on the dash. Could the starboard engine control power to both engines?

Any help would be appreciated.

It is still entact, it did not get pulled I checked that. Now the switch itself could be bad. The engine hatch power is dead also, so I gave up for today. I will have to get the hatch open before I can check anyhting in the engine compartment.

Kill switch will only cut power to the ignition.

Check the battery switch terminals..probably a bad switch or loose cables..if the switch is melted the cables were probably loose....Replace the switch.

Could this have killed both engines at the same time? I have 2 batteries and 2 switches. I was running both switches on number one at the time.

go to the one that goes to the engines,,if one switch feeds the other then yes it could kill both engines..you have no power no where so start at the main source and trouble shoot from their..

One switch feeds one engine and the other feeds the other engine.

Steel Outlawed 04-19-2010 07:42 AM
