Correct Measurement for fuel fill?

Correct Measurement for fuel fill?
Guys, Im ordering a fuel fill from Dana Marine. I went to go measure my fill and it measured 3" (picture attached). I'm ordering the "flip top" and my only choices are 1.5" and 2". Whats the correct measurement? 1.5?

The 1".5 and 2" is the hose size it takes.
