The stock pump and 3/8 lines you will start to run lower fuel in the bowls @ 1/2 throttle and will run out @ wot. I seen it on my setup and still had 7 psi it becomes more of a volume problem than a pressure problem the stock cater pumps are only good for 42 gph @ 5.75 psi

The best method is just test the FP in the boat. If you can hold 6+ lbs of fuel pressure at WOT you are good to go...the rest is just bench racing. If you don't have a FP gauge, you will never really know....
We have 3/8" lines out of the tank to the F/W separators, make 750+ HP and always have 7+ lbs FP at WOT. We use mechanical block mounted FP w/o a regulator.
