Default 496 Ho Exhaust Heat Sensor

I have a 2003 496 and have a bad heat sensor which is on order. Tomorrow I would like to start the engine after taking the boat out of winter storage and would like to avoid the buzzers and bells ringing. Can I simply cut the wires just before the exhaust manifold sensor and splice them together to complete the circuit and avoid the ringing?

No! unless you want to fry the ecm..just leave it unpluged and if the buzzar sounds well just let it..
