So I pull the dipstick out after the boat has sat for a day and it reads high, like possibly quarts high. Wipe it off, reinsert, take it back out and look at it, and it shows right on. The longer duration I leave the dipstick in the higher the initial reading will be. At first, i was scared and thought water, but if i wipe off the dipstick, recheck, it's where it's supposed to be. How can the oil climb up the dipstick like that, but not actually be that high in the pan. I don't know the theory on this one. I also can run the engine, check the oil, and it's normal, or a bit low cuz not all the oil has drained yet. Which is normal. No milkshake or anything, perfectly clean oil after running. This is weird to me.

I pulled the oil dipstick out this morning after sitting all night. It's about 4 inches above the full mark. Wipe it off, recheck, it's right at the full mark. That's some weird chit. Airpacker, you've seen this before?
