Hey guys,
I have a 92 Mercruiser 454 (300 Hp) that I am going to be pulling out of my boat and want to build it up to get about 450 hp out of it. What is the best course of action to do this? Or would I be better off to just find a takeout motor?
Also I found a complete Procharger kit for it locally. Does the stock motor have the internals to handle any kind of boost? Thanks!!

About the only parts useable from your current engine is the block. The heads are small oval port, crankshaft is cast, connecting rods are small bolt (3/8"), pistons are cast, intake and carburetor are useless for performance. Performance is expensive.
