Testing fuel pressure on 6.2 MPI

Thought I'd break this off of my torubleshooting thread...
Looking to test the fuel pressure on both my pumps. (Boat is an '04 Ebbtide with a 6.2 MPI.) I found the hookup on the fuel rail, which would test the high pressure pump, but how do you test the primary low pressure pump located next to the water separator on the front of the block?
Also is there a special fitting I'll need to adapt a standard automotive pressure gauge up to? I was just looking to pick up something like this.
