Default Ilmor 7-10 temp ?

My 710's have always run (according to gauage) on the higher side. I think the book says 160-190, and im alway like 185ish. I plan to check with a termal gun in a few spots. You can put your hand on the pipes and closed cooling system. Anyone have that experience on ILMOR's. Have 1000 Poker run coming up and dont want any problems. Sea strainer have the same amount of water going in them. ideas?

My 710 runs at what looks like 165 and doesn't budge from there. I can put my hand on the pipes at any time.

Not sure what your question is.

My 710 is a late model that uses a SS Hardin Marine housing and a Merc Impeller.

The water pump was "redone" after the 710's intro when a few customers had issues losing impellers.

The 710 uses closed cooling so the number the poster is seeing is the coolant temp- not the raw water inlet/exit temp.
