Default 27p Hydromotive vs. 28p Bravo 1

Have a step-hull 38 Fountain w/ HP500's that came out of the box running 15.5 x 27p Hydromotives (assume they were Quad IV's). When I acquired the boat it had 28p Bravo 1 props. I have run both brands on older style, non-step hulls. The query is this- would I see a benefit by going back to the Hydros or doing something else with the Bravos? I am down about 300 rpm +/- over what I think the HP500's should give (and the heads are fresh). Thanks!!!
