Strange as it sounds, it's easy to accidentally over fill it. If you don't take your sweet time and let it settle down, it's tough to get an accurate read on that stick.

Just my experience. I know it's frustrating to loose the belt and then be in a mess of oil to try to get it back on.

That's why I just have Westcoast standin' by to work that for me.

Mike:

If oil is coming out of the dipstick tube it could be the oil level is to high or it could be a blowby issue.
One quick way to check is to take the oil fill cap off the engine with the engine running warm and see how much pressure or fumes are coming out of the oil fill tube. If the pressure is high at lets say 2000 rpms or so then do a compression test on all cylinders and see if you have a problem in a cylinder. If the pressure is low and not a problem then I would look to an overfill problem.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Hi guys, Ray.

Sorry for the delay in my responding, I took the weekend off to go boating in my buddy's boat and drink some beer!!

Well I took the boat to my service shop and I had them do a compression test and the cylinder that is running hot check out to have only 80psi and there are 2 other cylinders low on compression.
Looks like it is rebuild time.
We will be having the motor pulled out of the boat on Monday or Tuesday and then I guess it will be diagnose time and teardown!!
Depending on what type of damage is found will determine what route I go.....god damn!!

Ouch, not good news. Here's hoping you can get the PQ running for a few more trips this season-

Mike.

Mike how many hours do you have and what's your rpm history like??

Just curious.

I ran the living crap out of mine.

SD, the engine has 220 hrs since new and about 60-75 hrs with the 103 kit. The engine had seen most of the run time at idle when we pulled the history from the ecm when I bought it.

I will admit I have run this thing hard as well, no doubt about it.

Ray had reflashed the ecm for me as well and I spun the motor to 5200-5300 tops.

I will be bying the Rinda software this week, there will be less guesswork.

My buddies Fever went down this year with the same symptoms as mine.....
