I'm looking for some pistons for a 454 my dad and i am building for his 69 camaro. The motor is a 454 ho-425 hp. The GM part number is 10215228. The only brand that I could cross the number over to was speed pro- l2399nf30. Any other brands that you guys recommend? These are forged pistons. Thanks in advance!

Sealed Power has really gone crazy with thier prices and the quality is not what you can get from a good piston like JE Wiseco etc. I can check on some prices and what is available on Monday. If you are rebuilding the entire engine, the way to go would be to source an entire engine kit with the parts you want in it. That will generally save you quite a bit of money over purchasing everything seperate.

Jegs and summit are only a couple cents apart on their prices. Yes, we are doing the whole motor. We you say a kit, you mean pistons, bearings, gaskets, etc.? Which vendor could provide this? Thanks again guys!
