Bravo lower unit oil filling problem, minimum oil to use safe?

Drained it out, and took a dremal to the hole. For some reason, whoever put the nose cone on, had the hole off centre.
The dremal opened up one side by 1/4" and now my pump fits perfect.
THanks again for all the help (and especially to drain and refill, I would have run it the way it was)
