Thanks everyone for the vote of confidence. Like I told you on the phone Tom, there is a reason that my engines are more expensive. The parts that I use on both the inside and the outside just flat out cost more than most. MY 750 uses the same long block as my 925, 1075, 1200 and 1400. Needless to say, they are WAY overbuilt. That all but eliminates a parts failure. I could easily save $5000 with just a few parts changes. The crank is a Lunati that costs over $1700. I could use a Scat that is under $800. The Oliver rods I use are almost $1500. Again, I could use Scats for about $400. I could continue with plenty more parts. The other parts would probably be fine at 750 hp. However, thats not what I do. I don't build cheap engines that use "good enough" parts. I only build about 20 engines a year and I want them to all be first class.....nothing else will satisfy me. I look forward to meeting you next week if you are able to make it. Thanks

One more thing.....my prices are all quoted based on an engine that is 100% complete and ready to drop in. The only other item needed is tailpipes, since they are somewhat boat specific. When I say everything is there, I mean everything.......motor mounts, bell housing, coupler, sending units, wiring, 10 pin Merc plug, exhaust, etc. etc. etc.. All you have to do is pull the 575's out and put mine in. They can literally be done in a day.
Just be sure that you are comparing apples to apples. A lot of builders do not include things like motors mounts, coupler, sending units, etc. These little items can add several thousand dollars to the bottom end. Then you have to get them put on. So you either have to pay someone or do it yourself, instead of boating. I just want to make sure that you understand what happens on a daily basis.
Just make sure that you get a parts list of EXACTLY what is to be included at that price, no matter who you choose to do the build. Thanks

Eddie, thanks for the additional information. You certainly have a good following of satisfied customers. Word of mouth is the best advertising available. I will give you a call next week and try to schedule a visit. Any interest in my 575's? I have already had a few inquires regarding the purchase if I decide to repower.

I can't imagine that you would have any difficulty at all selling them on this or one of the other sites. Merc. pullouts go pretty quickly. It would be an excellent upgrade for someone with a 496, 502 mag, etc.
Hopefully you can make it next week. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks
