Default 502 blocks

Guys, are 502 shortblocks ( or even complete motors) available and , if so, what is a good source. Can't seem to locate one. Thanks

Is this a marine application. Would imagine the internals are different. Maybe not. Thanks.

It's the same bottom end you'd find in a 502 mag MPI, all forged. They're 8.75 to 1 with a 118-120cc head and come with the zz502 cam and lifters, brass freeze plugs etc. You can bolt on some heads and go, or get a cam and top end package from Bob Madara and easily make over 600hp..

Thanks guys. I initially checked a couple sources that I knew of in the Northeast, but 502's seemed to disappear from the list of available motors. Then searched thru Yahoo - but nothing came up. What I did see appeared to be auto applications and I assumed ( shouldn't have) that marine internals on these motors were different to accomodate the higher RPMs . In any case, I appreciate the help .

Call these places, they may not have them.

I can get new 502 Mag MPI longblocks with all the tin, but they are expensive. You may also find that you are getting the "new" Chinese cast block. It will have a fuel pump boss, yes a fuel pump boss on a Gen 6 style block but the cam is not likely to have the lobe to drive it.
