Default regular air filter instead of flame arrestors?

Hi,

Can I run regular automotive type air filters instead of flame arrestors on my magnum 350's in a scarab? Mainly for cosmetic reasons..

Thanks,

It's not legal the flame arrestors won't and can't catch fire like a automotive one can.

In other words if it catches on fire, insurance will probably not pay. Buy K-N filters if you want cosmetic. They look nice and have good air flow.

Here there are two for sale this morning in the swap shop.

depends.....do you smoke while filling the tank with gas and piss on electric fences? If you like taking chances just make sure your passengers know before they leave the dock.

What they all said.

Get a K&N marine approved filter assembly and the connectors for the valve cover vent hoses.
