Right now I have 5.5 inch manual CMC jackplates on my 30 Spectre cat. I'm looking at replacing the jackplates with either a 6 inch manual or 4 -6 inch hydraulic. Would there be a performance difference going with the 6 inch versus the 5.5 inch I have now? Also if I went with the hydraulic jackplates would the 4 inch jackplate work out better than the 6 inch. I may be way off but my theory on the hydraulic jackplate would be to lower the motors in rough water to prevent zinging and raise the motors for speed in calm water. Any input would be appreciated.
