i never used a relief valve on my set up untill i changed drives.the one on there now has a low water pick-up in the noise cone of the drive.the pressure more than doubled.like said,put a gage on it,you will be suprised.

I bet if I reduced the dumps to say 3/8", it would drastically increase water psi in my block.
Ok. Then I might have high psi already even though I dont use any thermostats. I mean if the bottleneck is the exhaust...

Anyway, I will install relief valves to be safe. Thanks for all info guys!

thanks for all the good insite guys... After reading all that and doing some shopping I thing i am gonna stock with the circulation pump set up that i have...
