that is what it is used for but if you can run a short enough drive shaft it would work. I dont think you could get the engine in the same location as a standard Bravo setup with that bellhousing, I think the coolers and lines would interfere. the only other way would be put the Bravo coupler on that you showed in your picture. it should bolt to the flywheel and if you could get the engine close enough for the drives shaft to engage far enough it would work.

You would have nothing supporting the back of the engine. The bravo bell housing has mounts on it that bolt to the inner transom plate to support the rear of the engine. Also has to be perfectly aligned with the gimble bearing.

actually you would. if you look at the pic of the back of him motor he has front and rear motor plates. it would take time to get it lined up right but it has been done more than a few times.

You could never get the motor close enough to the transom plate with the top mount starters, oil coolers and filters back there. Just wouldn't be practical compared to getting a couple used $100 flywheel housings and being done with it. The boats probably not set up to even use those motor plates.

adding the mounts for the rear plate is easy, I have done it on race boats as a backup in case the ear on the Bravo setup failed. I agree that you probably cant move the engine far enough back which I had said previously but figured I would offer any possible ideas and maybe he can find a way to make it all work.
