Have been looking into changing out my 496HO with a used 525EFI. Was wondering if I purchased a complete 525 with harness, etc. will it (plug and play) in place of the 496. What other issues will I have?

Provided you have $20K to $25 K for a good low hour non-issue HP525 complete with the non-cracked CMi headers and the complete engine with all harnesses and fittings and such it will be just about a plug and play. Check the used HP525efi carefully, you don't want to buy it twice!
You got the dime it will be worth the time!
If you want a nice reliable N/A 675HP version of the HP525 contact us , we have a nice turnkey exchange package!

If your boat has a 10 pin harness (most likely) you will need to buy an adapter harness and an AGI (analog guage interface).
