engine upgrade

I dont' mean to bust into checkmate's post but liquid lounge mentioned the importance of the 112 to114 LSA cam on a supercharged motor which I am aware of. The problem is I built my engine using a 224/230 110 LSA roller cam before considering supercharging. I'm now running a 174 B&M @ 5# boost. There was a definite performance gain but I'm wondering how much performance I am giving up by not changing out the cam. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Liquid lounge is recommending those cam specs for naturally aspirated motors. Also I have to be concerned with not disrupting the air in the intake manifold by getting to much reversion with a tighter lobe seperation. I am not an expert on supercharging. I wouldn't know which cam to suggest to you.

Gene, you're going to definately be on the losing end with a 110* LS---how much I'm not sure. You'll be losing a lot of efficiency and throwing a TON of raw unburned fuel out the exhaust...you should really install a cam on a 114* LS in that engine. I really believe you'll be sorry if you don't
..... just my opinion
I'm sure there are more guys who're very familiar with supercharging who'll can recommend a cam and provide some wise imput regarding the cam situation. I would ask around a bit more before you go leaving that 110* LS cam in that engine for a blower app....a 110* LS cam will work BUT again I think you'll lose much of what you're trying to gain.
